Netflix Selects Spot-On Actor for Bentham in One Piece Third Season
Baroque Works is set to make a major impact in the forthcoming season on Netflix of One Piece, though the major clash won’t take place until season 3, and a beloved, popular member has just been cast.
The streaming service revealed this week that Cole Escola will appear in the One Piece season 3 cast and will portray Bon Clay. This character possesses the power to morph into an identical duplicate of anyone they’ve laid a hand on with their main hand. Escola, who is identifies as non-binary and goes by they/them, will play a interpretation of that figure reimagined as non-binary, as opposed to as a drag performer, in the live-action show, unlike the original manga and cartoon version.
This performer joins several other new cast members tasked with bringing the organization to reality, including chief the main antagonist, played by Joe Manganiello, an emerging star as a key member, and an accomplished actor, who is also part of the lineup as King Nefertari Cobra of Alabasta.
