Star Denies Anti-Vaccine Stance After Lending His Voice To Contentious Pandemic Documentary

Liam Neeson has given his vocal talents to a feature-length documentary that questions the safety of vaccinations and commends ex- health official the political figure.

The Documentary's Contentious Basis

Called "Plague of Corruption," the project is adapted from a popular book published by a disgraced researcher, who gained notoriety during the pandemic for allegations that the illness was caused by a bad strain of the seasonal immunization.

The publication's writing partner, Kent Heckenlively, has also written books with controversial media personality a known commentator. The producer recently posted celebrating Neeson's participation in the project.

A Strong Rebuttal

A spokesperson for Liam Neeson have issued a response strongly denying suggestions that he holds anti-immunization sentiments.

"We all understand that unethical practices might be present within the drug industry, but that should never be confused with opposition to vaccines," the comment explains. "Liam is not, and is not, against vaccines. His extensive work with Unicef reinforces his consistent support for public-health initiatives."

The response noted that the star was not involved in crafting the project's narrative and that inquiries about its claims ought to go to the producers.

Central Assertions Within the Film

As presented, the script spoken by Neeson makes several provocative points:

  • It suggests that pro-immunization voices have called for "complete compliance" to government bodies.
  • It declares that "science has become highly influenced by politics."
  • Robert F Kennedy Jr is interviewed saying, "The core flaw with vaccines is that they are not adequately tested."
  • It takes aim at pandemic restrictions, arguing they caused severe distress that led to the loss of thousands of lives.
  • On the topic of Covid vaccines, it references a perspective that they were "hurriedly approved" and seen as "dangerous experiments."

Historical Context and Current Issues

The film includes a historical film about clinical trials on children, which was later the topic of a formal apology by the network for violations of guidelines.

Recently, the political figure directed the Centers for Disease Control to change its long-held position that there is no causal relationship between immunizations and autism. This supposed link is also referenced in the film, even with a new report from the World Health Organisation stating no such link has been found.

An Earlier Statement of Advocacy

Differing from the documentary's tone, Neeson has in the past voiced strong support for vaccines in his role as a charity ambassador.

In 2022, he referred to vaccines as "an extraordinary human success story," stating that "The conversation about vaccines in lately has lost sight of how much good they have done... It is perhaps one of the biggest shared accomplishments in human history."

"Plague of Corruption" concludes with Neeson's script saying, "This marks not the conclusion of our narrative. This is the dawn of a fresh chapter."
